The Volkswagen Golf compact is descended from the VW Rabbit of decades ago, the replacement for the original Beetle. By 2012, the Golf was in its seventh generation, with 3-door, wagon and 5-door body styles; this long-running favorite is available with several drivetrain choices, including an EV model. For model year ‘12, the Golf was available with numerous trim levels, including R, Base, R Base and TDI.
When you shop 2012 Volkswagen Golf tires, you’ll probably be looking for premium all season tires that can deliver long wear, a quiet, forgiving ride, great road manners and handling and year round traction. We’d recommend tires like the Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus (with 50k mile treadwear warranty), Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 PLUS and Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 (45k mile warranty). For more enthusiastic drivers, check out summer and ultra-high-performance tires like the Pirelli Cinturato P7 and Falken Azenis FK510. Just keep in mind that summer and UHP tires use a softer, stickier tread formulation that delivers great grip but will stiffen and lose traction in colder weather; these tires shouldn’t be used when temperatures are below about 45 degrees F.

I just bought these tires for my 2012 VW Golf TDI to use for my summer tires. So far I have put about 2k miles on them and they have been excellent! Handle well, ride well and are quiet!! I would definitely buy again. Stop reading this already and order them!
