My wife's car has always gotten snow tires because she is an on call healthcare worker. We are a firm believer that the Sumitomo Ice Edge are the best snow ties, but they are LOUD and get louder as they wear. The new Chevys seem to transfer road noise really bad so we were looking for something quieter. For the pit crew price the RxFrosts have impressed us so far. Very quiet for a snow tire and didn't seem to give up much traction over the Sumitomo. Time will tell on wear. We've put about 3k miles on them and they seem to be holding up.
