Introduced in 2002, the Pontiac Vibe was a collaboration between GM and Toyota; for model yer 2010, this compact 5-door was in its second generation and was available with base, AWD or GT trim levels. Interestingly, one of the Vibe’s selling points was “enough cargo room to accommodate a full-size washer or dryer and its appliance dolly.” The Vibe was available with a choice of two Toyota-built 4-cyl engines that delivered 26 mpg city/32 mpg highway.
Is it time to shop 2010 Pontiac Vibe tires? We rounded up a great assortment of premium all-season tires that offer long wear, great handling and road manners, year-round traction and a quiet, comfortable ride. Check out tires like the Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500 (with 55k mile treadwear warranty), Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 (45k mile warranty), BFGoodrich Advantage Control (65k mile warranty) and Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS (50k mile warranty). If you’re driving a GT model of the Pontiac Vibe, you can get the most out of your car’s handling and braking performance, think about summer or ultra-high-performance tires like the Yokohama Advan Fleva V701, Michelin Primacy HP and Bridgestone Potenza Sport. Just be mindful of the fact that summer and UHP tires use a softer, stickier tread formulation that enhances traction, but will stiffen and lose grip in colder weather. Summer and UHP tires shouldn’t be used when temperatures are below about 40-45 degrees F.
These tires are made for Arizona because they do not like the rain. They are fine for dry weather and are a nice riding tire. They are also a comfortable riding tire. I have over 18,000 miles on them and they are at 5/32 and 6/32. These tires will not make it past 35,000 miles. I probably will get rid of them in 2022 because they perform so poorly in wet conditions. It is almost impossible to accelerate from a stop with almost any amount of throttle. I would never buy these tires again.
