Mercedes took their A-Class compact sedan and ran it through the AMG hotrod shop; it came out the other side with a 302 hp 2.0L 4-cyl, tightened-up suspension, full driver-assistance suite and adaptive dampers. Even with the potent engine, the A35 AMG turns in 24 mpg city/31 mpg highway. Continental ContiProContact GX SSR, Continental SportContact 6, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 4S or Pirelli P Zero (PZ4 Sport) tires would have been OEM for this make/model.
When it’s time to shop 2021 Mercedes-Benz A35 AMG tires, tire sizes could be 235/35ZR19 or 235/40R18. We’d suggest premium performance-oriented all-season tires like the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4, Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 PLUS or Yokohama Advan Sport A/S Plus. For enhanced cornering and braking performance, consider summer/ultra-high-performance tires like the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 or Yokohama Advan Neova AD09. Just remember that summer/UHP tires use a softer, stickier tread formulation that will stiffen up and lose traction on colder days. Summer/UHP tires shouldn’t be used if temperatures are below 40-45 degrees F.
