These were the original tires on a Toyota Highlander. They were just fine, you have to rotate them, if someone is wearing their tires out super-quick there's probably an issue with their car (e.g. alignment or lack of rotation), or they are driving crazy. I am also baffled as to how someone can judge the sound of the tires unless they are driving some big 4-WD monster truck and you can hear the whirrrr sound. I purchased these again as replacements on the Highlander because the price was quite low for them compared to other tire brands. I am totally satisfied with them.
Used as original equipment on pickups and sport utility vehicles, the all-season Open Country A20 is designed for competent all-season traction and a smooth ride on the highway. The symmetric tread pattern and independent shoulder blocks provide optimum wet and dry traction, while the tire's wide footprint adds stability and improved handling at higher speeds. Four circumferential grooves around the tread increase wet handling performance and lower the risk of hydroplaning. The tire is designed to provide traction and comfort in light snow, featuring a steel belted construction for additional strength and durability.
