The Thunderer Ranger R402 tires receive generally positive reviews for their performance and value.
The Thunderer Ranger R402 tires appear to be a solid choice for those seeking a balance between performance and affordability. They seem particularly well-suited for vans, RVs, and vehicles carrying heavy loads. While they may not match the wet-road performance of some premium brands, many users find them to be a great value, offering improved ride quality and handling across various conditions.
Positive highlights
Good looking and well-built tire. Quiet ride with good traction on wet surfaces. Improved ride and handling, especially for vans and RVs. Great value for the price compared to more expensive brands. Suitable for heavy loads and long-distance travel. Performs well on highways and off-road.
Negative highlights
Maximum PSI rating (69 psi) slightly below some vehicles' requirements. Not as good on wet roads compared to some premium brands. Some reviewers haven't tested the tires in winter conditions yet.

This is a great tire option for Rialta owners. I'm very pleased with how they handle and that the DOT date showed they were manufactured as of this year. For a tire that's hard-to-find for this make of RV, I'm very glad to know I have a resource to go to that will keep our rig on the road.

Have not driven them in winter conditions, and have not had them long enough to judge tread life, but they are solid tires, and handle very well on the highway, as well as off road. I am very happy with them.
