The Power King Super Highway II tires receive mixed reviews, with a majority of customers expressing satisfaction with the product's performance and value.
The Power King Super Highway II tires are generally well-received, especially by classic vehicle enthusiasts and those seeking a vintage look. They offer good value for money and perform well in various conditions. However, some quality control issues have been reported, and the ride quality may not be as smooth as more expensive modern tires. These tires seem best suited for specific applications where their retro appearance and durability are prioritized over the latest tire technology.
Positive highlights
Excellent retro look, ideal for vintage vehicle restorations. Good value for money. Suitable for various applications including tractors, campers, and classic trucks. Smooth ride quality after initial break-in period. Durable and long-lasting. Good traction in winter snow and rain conditions. Thick and strong construction.
Negative highlights
Some customers reported issues with sidewall splitting. Rough ride for the first 5-10 miles after sitting overnight. A few instances of tires not being true round, causing balancing issues. One customer likened the ride to a "Conestoga wagon".

Only 12x16.5 tires I'll buy, but not great
Balance poorly, ride like a Conestoga wagon, but they look great on my slots and didn't cost too much.
They do seem to have a bit less rolling resistance than my General Grabber ATx in a similar size, barely have to give the truck any gas to keep my speed up on the highway.
You can definitely tell there is a lot more mass, the engine needs to work a bit more to get then spinning. Braking with conventional vacuum booster was a bit of a challenge, but hydroboost conversion the heavier tires allows you to stop way harder without locking up and still stops faster than with my 285/75r16 since they don't lock up so easy.

After 30 years of use on my utility trailer, it was time for new rubber. 6.50x16 isn't a common size and after a search found the tires at Simple Tire. A couple days later they arrived at my home and now are rolling in style ! Thanks

Have only put on 500 miles or so, much too soon to tell. Nor have I winter experience but believe these will do well. The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

The power king superhighway tire I bought 6.70-15 was for my 51 Chevy spare tire , the tire I had in trunk had dry rot and splits both sides not safe! Wanted a bias ply tire that came close to bias tires on car with budget spending and durability! Simple tire does have email and live customer rep's to handle issues if any! And shipping tracking number from carrier on your shipped tire! For me this tire was a good standard value and I shopped around on line!

For the price, these are a really good value in tire! The ride is very good, though not as good as expensive brands like Michelin. The noise is not quite as quiet as those brands either. However, for half the price they are not that much different. The traction in winter snow and rain has been excellent. I would buy these again in a heartbeat.
