So far I have loved these tires. I drive over 2 winter passes weekly wtih an elevation change of just around 4k feet. Driving through winter with the confidience of these tires has defenitely helped me feel safer.
I have run winter tires in the past, but not a Nokian. The Hakkapeliitta R5 has seemed stronger and less "boat like" on the road. I have better dry pavement feel - like a summer tire - and the winter traction is incredible. I had read these are at the top rated and I wanted to try them out for a coule seasons. So far my frist 3000 miles have been very good. Smooth ride, great traction in snow and slippery situaitons and I have not heard any noise from them. My AWD Subaru has extra power and extra weight and these tires have been just fantastic so far.

Fantastic winter tires.
Running on heavy Expedition Performance Stealth. Tires give tons of confidence and are both comfortable and quiet for winter tires. Massively better feeling than the General All-Season Tires that came on vehicle from Ford. Cannot recommend enough.

Seem quieter than the R3 SUV with same winter grip
On a Tesla Model X. Had Hakkapelita R3 SUV but can't get anymore in my 20 inch size as these replaced them. Tread LOOK tighter than the R3 SUV so was afraid of loose snow grip sufferings. It didn't and the tires seem quieter on dry backtop than the R3 SUV. All around a good upgrade from the R3 SUV and would buy these again.
