The Nitto NT555RII tires receive overwhelmingly positive reviews for their performance, particularly in high-powered vehicles and drag racing applications.
The Nitto NT555RII tires are highly regarded for their performance in high-powered vehicles, offering excellent traction and grip for both street use and drag racing. They strike a good balance between performance and daily drivability, making them a popular choice for enthusiasts. While they may not be the absolute best for dedicated drag racing, they offer a versatile solution for those seeking improved traction without sacrificing street manners.
Positive highlights
Excellent traction and grip, especially for high-horsepower vehicles. Significant improvement over stock tires for many performance cars. Good hook-up and launch capabilities for drag racing. Decent tread life compared to other drag radial tires. Performs well in both dry and wet conditions. Attractive and aggressive appearance.

Nitto are good tires.
I have had a few tires to drive on. The Nitto NT555RII are great at handling and launching out of the hole.
I have had 4 launching on the drag strip. They grip the track well and will make your 60 foot time much better! Instant hook up.
It is a daily driver and I have never drove them in the rain. Tread wear? I have only had them for 1,000 miles so I honestly don't know.

Good drag radials for a supercharged car
I got these drag radials to use on my 2014 Shelby GT500 that is making in the ballpark of 750 or so rwhp. In first it is still pretty easy to get the tires to spin with how much torque these Shelby motors make, but second and up it pretty much just hooks and goes. Don't really have any experience driving in the rain on these tires, but it is typical that drag radials have fair performance in the rain at best. Nittos seem to last a bit longer in the treadwear than other brand drag radials like mickey thompson. If you have a supercharged mustang, camaro, challenger, or other boosted vehicle, don't hesitate to give these tires a shot.

Great Drag and Drive tire.
I used these on a mid 10 second CTS-V Wagon and they are a great all around tire. I go a 1.47 60' time just rolling into the pedal.

Tires work great.
They hook better on wet roads than my prior tires did on dry pavement. Not noisy and seem to be wearing good. They also do pretty well at the drag strip
