The Nitto NT01 tires receive overwhelmingly positive reviews, particularly for their performance in track and racing conditions.
The Nitto NT01 tires are highly regarded as track and racing tires, offering excellent dry grip, consistency, and longevity for their intended use. While they excel in performance driving scenarios, they are less suitable for daily street use due to noise and ride comfort issues. Despite a few isolated quality concerns, the overall sentiment is very positive, with many users praising their value and performance in high-performance driving situations.
Positive highlights
Excellent grip and traction, especially in dry conditions. Great performance for track days, tarmac rally sprints, and hill climbs. Good tread life, with many users reporting multiple track days from a single set. Consistent performance through multiple heat cycles. Suitable for high-horsepower vehicles (800+ hp mentioned). Good value for money in the track tire category. Some users report acceptable performance in light rain, despite being primarily a dry-weather tire.
Negative highlights
Not suitable for wet conditions or standing water. Noisy and harsh ride when used for street driving. Low initial tread depth noted by some users. One instance of receiving a potentially used tire.

2015 Honda Civic Si - road course tires
I ran these tires on my 2015 Honda civic si at a couple of road course events. Extremely awesome tires for the track as they heated up well and have amazing cornering performance. I was not able to try them in wet conditions but was very impressed with them. The treadwear is also very good as you can run these tires until they show cord. You truly get every dollar out of these tires and I highly recommend these for anyone looking for a semi slick tire that will last as long as possible for the low treadwear. Will be buying these tires again!

Strictly my track tire!
I've been using NT01's on both my track cars (Cobra and Mustang) for over 10yrs. I can't say anything bad about them. They grip and when hot, grip more. I can easily get four weekend sessions or more out of a set on either car. Very good dry tire and not made for wet conditions, although a light mist isn't bad.

These are dry weather track day tires. With full tread they do ok in rain but quickly wear off the grooves. If kept happy from pressure point of view, and flipped on the rims, they will give good life. Grip really gets better mid life and they heat cycle out slowly. You can usually run these down to the cords.

Great track tire. Gets warm and sticky fast, not bad in the rain as long as you don't drive through standing water. Thread life depends on use, alignment specs. First set lasted 2 years 15 track days 6k street miles.

Great tires, but it appears that Simple Tire is buying old stock. The set I just received has a build code of 2016 which is bit old for a race tire. Warning to stay away from simple tire for competition tires.

While I haven't mounted up the most recent set, the NT01 has been my Go-To track tire for years. It won't quite match Hoosier (when new, at least) performance for lap time, but it is a very consistent, easy to drive tire that handles multiple heat cycles with minimal degradation in performance.
The Nitto NT01 is a DOT-compliant competition road course tire that's designed for sports cars that features a specialized race-ready construction, semi-slick tread, and specialty racing tread compound.
