They hardly needed balancing! Great solid tires. I noticed on the highway they float a little more, requiring a little more correction when traveling highway speeds. I think it's due to the aggressive tread.
Noise on the highway is barely there. It's a soft compound tire compared to the ones I've had previously. But I do like them . You can tell they are quality tires.

I've owned other SUVs and used most brands but found Kumho AT51s great for road tires. Recently I bought a Nissan Safari Y60 and decided to try the Mt71s Best tire I've ever come across. No idea how they made it so quiet. Half the price of BFGoodrich and better off-road tires. I also track cars a lot and Kumho also a top choice. I believe the Kumho is the first Mud Terrain that works like a road tire on the highway. Bravo to their design team and of course the price is right!

Just put these tires on Friday and couldn't resist test them in muddy conditions on Saturday and will say they perform very well. Hit a couple spot that jeeps we're having issues. They are on a 97 ram 1500 with a ranch hand ledgen bumper.
There a lot quieter than I was expecting but there not super loud. Can have my radio on 20 and talk normal with the windows down.

Stone ejector bars prevent stone drill damage and promote self-cleaning for consistent traction
Many people favor Jeeps, SUVs, and light trucks because they can handle mud, pebbles, gravel, and sand with the right tires. Mud-terrain tires are designed with these drivers in mind, and the Kumho Road Venture MT71 is built to offer great off-road performance. Its aggressive tread pattern improves both off-road traction and climbing performance. To optimize off-road traction, it also has a dual-pitch, high-void tread pattern with zigzag construction.
