The Hankook Optimo (H426) tires receive mixed reviews, with many customers praising their performance and value, while others express concerns about tread life and durability.
The Hankook Optimo (H426) tires offer good performance and value for many drivers, particularly those with lighter vehicles or who prioritize a smooth, quiet ride. However, concerns about tread life and durability, especially for heavier vehicles or more aggressive driving styles, suggest that they may not be suitable for all users or driving conditions.
Positive highlights
Great handling and performance in various weather conditions, including wet roads and light snow. Smooth and quiet ride. Good value for money. Attractive appearance with a nice tread pattern. Comfortable for highway use.
Negative highlights
Some users report rapid tread wear, especially on heavier vehicles. Instances of sidewall cracking and bubbling. Poor performance in deep snow and ice conditions.

My wife's vehicle, a 2014 Ford Explorer has gone through two sets of these tires and we just installed the third because we are very happy with these Kuhmo's. They are what came factory from Ford and I haven't even been tempted to stray in another direction. Both of her first two sets both lasted to 60k miles with a comfortable ride and confident feel. I'm actually shopping now to put a set of these tires on my car as well because I think they are excellent, particularly at such a reasonable price point. Highly recommend

Got stuck in a really bad ice/snow storm and these tires got me home safely. I was so happy that I had these. My old tires would have spun me out and had me sitting on the side of the road waiting for help.

Twice now I have had these OE tires on new cars. Both sets wore the same. Initially, wear seemed good on a larger Hyundai Elantra, the first 20,000 miles with a little more than half tread left. However, the wear speeds dramatically & the tires wore out by 33,000 miles with very easy driving. After I reached 20,000 miles on the second set of H426 tires, I removed the tires & placed them on a lighter weight Hyundai Accent. The Optimo tires did reduce their latter stage wear while on the Accent, but the tires were worn out by 39,000 miles. I would say, the H426 tires are OK on a light car, but heavier cars dramatically wear these tires. The tires tracked straight ahead well, not needing much on-center correcting. Cornering was OK, but turn-in was not great. The H426 tires were only moderately quiet, but smooth riding.

The diamond-shaped block design remains stiff enough to enhance handling performance
There are times when drivers feel that the tires transmit too many shocks into the cabin. Fortunately, the Hankook Optimo (H426) solves this problem and is made using a special rubber compound that absorbs shocks from the road to deliver comfort at all times. Expect great performance on wet roads, thanks to four wide grooves in the tread that force water out of the contact patch for increased wet traction and confident driving. The optimized tread design of the Optimo (H426) puts extra rubber on the road to enhance handling capabilities and the high tread depth plays an important role in increasing tread life. The Optimo (H426) is suitable for use on vehicles like the Honda CR-V, Nissan Rogue, Chevrolet Cruze, Toyota Corolla, and more.
