You are not going to confuse these with Summer tires when the driving gets spirited, but they're great cruising tires. Straight ahead grip in the wet or dry is great, but on turns, it can feel a little greasy in the wet. As for noise...there pretty much isn't any. I hear more induction and wind noise than I do the tires, even at speeds above 80mph.

This is my 5th set of tires I have bought from simple tire. The ease of ordering and the speed of shipping is excellent. Cheaper than any other tire sites online, even tirerack.com.

At 30,000 miles the tires were down to 2/32 of an inch. Tires had been rotated on a regularly scheduled basis by the dealership and overall properly maintained. I expected better.

I'm very happy with the tires I purchased! They're very quiet on the road, and I feel very comfortable driving in heavy rain with them.
Haven't been in snow yet, but I'm confident they'll do just fine. I highly recommend this tire! You get a lot of quality for the price.

Most drivers don't want to change tires with the change in season, and that's where the GT Radial Maxtour LX comes as a great choice. The tire is meant to be comfortable over long distances, with its pitch sequencing design preventing road noise from getting into the cabin. The asymmetric tread design and full-depth sipes create additional biting edges for dependable traction performance throughout the tire’s lifespan. The high tread depth of this tire offers greater confidence over different surfaces and the independent shoulder grooves enhance handling performance. All thanks to the stiff tread blocks, the Radial Maxtour LX offers enhanced handling and steering performance. The GT Radial Maxtour LX is suitable for use on vehicles like the Honda Civic, Chevrolet Equinox, Honda CR-Z, Nissan Maxima, BMW 3 Series, Ford Escape, Toyota Venza, Dodge Journey, and more.
Yes, the GT Radial Maxtour LX is a good tire for drivers of coupes, sedans, and CUVs who want enhanced traction and handling performance in dry, wet, and light winter weather conditions. The Maxtour LX also offers drivers a long tread life and a quiet, comfortable ride.
Most GT Radial Maxtour LX tires are made in Chester County, South Carolina. That being said, some Maxtour LX tires could be made in Indonesia.
GT Radial Maxtour LX tires are backed by a 70,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty. This means the Maxtour LX is expected to last at least 70,000 miles assuming proper use, maintenance, and rotation are followed.
GT Radial Maxtour LX tires are made by Giti Tire, who also makes Primewell and Dextero tires.
No, GT Radial Maxtour LX tires are not directional. The asymmetrical tread pattern of the Maxtour LX provides sporty traction and handling while also allowing the tire to be freely rotated for a longer tread life.
Yes, GT Radial Maxtour LX tires can be used in light snow thanks to their all-season rubber compound, independent shoulder groove, shoulder channels, and full depth sipes that provide traction in dry, wet, and light winter weather conditions. The Maxtour LX is not Three Peak Mountain Snowflake certified, so it should not be used in moderate to severe winter weather conditions.
No, GT Radial Maxtour LX tires are not noisy thanks to a harmonically optimized pitch sequencing that reduces road noises and vibrations to create a quiet, comfortable ride for drivers and passengers.
