I'm surprised at the great reviews for these tires. Waste of money. On snow and ice, there is no difference between these and my all-seasons. My ABS system is activiated at every stop sign, not matter how slowly I approach it. I spin trying to get traction when I try to get going. I skid around corners, and changing lanes on the highway is a deathwish. These tires are terrible. I don't fell safe at all.
I purchased these tires for my front wheel drive Volvo S80 sedan. This tire is for winter applications, and I have been very happy with my purchase. Being a front wheel drive car, the front tires were worn about 30 percent more than the rears after the first season. I swapped them for the second season and they are about even now. Two winter seasons and I would say they still have at least one winter remaining.
I commute 20 miles everyday on the country roads of Central New York, so I've experienced every condition imaginable with these tires and they have performed as advertised. Quite and competent on dry roads, remaining agile in rain, and exhibiting enhanced grip in light/medium snow.
