The Federal SS595 tires receive mixed reviews, with many customers praising their performance and value, while others express concerns about specific aspects of their performance.
The Federal SS595 tires appear to be a budget-friendly option for those seeking performance tires. They offer good dry traction and handling for their price point, making them popular among enthusiasts and those looking for an affordable upgrade. However, the mixed reviews on wet performance and road noise suggest that they may not be suitable for all drivers or conditions. These tires seem best suited for those prioritizing dry performance and value over all-weather capability.
Positive highlights
Good dry traction and handling, especially for the price. Smooth and comfortable ride. Attractive appearance. Decent wet weather performance for most users. Great value for money. Suitable for performance driving and some track use.
Negative highlights
Mixed opinions on wet weather performance, with some finding it lacking. A few users experienced quality issues or premature wear. Some found the handling unpredictable or squishy, especially at high speeds. Not recommended for winter driving.

Used it as a rear motorcycle tire on my Honda VTX 1800. Its fantastic. Handles just as well as any bike tire, lasts 10 times longer for 1/4 the price. I'll never buy a motorcycle tire again!

Update on original review, (Great smooth ride, no tire noise. Have not driven in rain but I expect the tread pattern to move water like a F1 rain tire. Like them far better than the OEM P-zero's) Update, handling is far better than the P-0s. I have found that the amount of noise depends on the road surface not the tire. My tires run dead quiet on newly paved smooth blacktop. Running in the rain, as with ANY tire you have to drive according to conditions. I am driving a 2014 Mustang GT 5.0 (430 hp) 6 speed. When driving in the rain these tires pump out water like mad and when you look at the tire track in the mirror it looks like a squee-gee almost wiped the track clean. I can turn off traction control and spin over the rear tires but you have to really push it. Normal driving at legal speed has no issues.
