The Cosmo MuchoMacho tires receive mixed reviews, with opinions varying widely on their performance and value.
The Cosmo MuchoMacho tires offer a budget-friendly option for those seeking high-performance tires, particularly for dry and warm conditions. They excel in grip and traction during summer months but struggle in colder, wetter environments. The tires' soft compound provides excellent stickiness but may lead to faster wear. While some users praise their value and performance, others caution about their limitations in certain weather conditions and potential quality issues.
Positive highlights
Good performance in dry conditions and summer weather. Excellent grip and traction, especially after breaking in. Great value for the price. Decent performance in light snow and wet conditions (when warm). Suitable for performance driving and some racing applications.
Negative highlights
Poor performance in cold and wet conditions, especially during cornering. Some users experienced quality issues, including warping and bubbles on sidewalls. Rapid wear for some users, especially those driving aggressively. Inconsistent performance across different weather conditions.

great fun great value. plan to buy again
i use these budget 300tw as my 'rain' tires on track for track days. no reason to waste the stickies when conditions arent ideal for them. mild mannered enough on the streets but wear faster than I expected when ran hard in the dry. I have and wouldn't hesitate to buy again at this price.

Good in dry and above 45 degrees fahrenheit but.
They were great under the weather dipped below 40 degrees fahrenheit and got wet. Then these got real scary, real fast. I've never seen tires get this bad when cold and wet. Granted, I only have a bit over 100 miles on them, but the last 40 miles were in the sub 40 degrees and wet. I almost wrecked my car several times, even while staying at the speed limit. Any semi-sharp turns, they start to slide. I sure hope that get better, otherwise, I'll have to buy another set of tires to make it through the winter as they are completely unsafe right now. Again, they were fine when dry and above 45 degrees F. :(

Possibly the Best Budget Tire I have Purchased!
I purchased these tire for street use on my 2003 Subaru WRX. This car doubles as an autocross car on most weekends. If you know anything about autox...you will spend a good amount of money on competitive tires, so having a set of street tires to save travel mile wear is a must.
We made an 800 mile round trip the same week they were installed and they were awesome! Low road noise and handled the highway, country roads and backs roads nicely.
Now the big surprise came on an event weekend! That Saturday we corded our RE71-RS race tires (well past any tread, you could nearly see the air inside them) So Sunday the Cosmos were put back on the car. We all had a pretty decent laugh about them...but... Once I got the tire pressures dialed in, everyone understood where the Mucho Macho name came from. They put up a fight to say the least. They were predictable and handled the technical demands an awd car running an autox asks. They are not a true replacement for the competition tires that cost about 4 times as much, but I still managed to stay in the top 20% of the fastest cars that day and worked great in a pinch.
I will definitely continue buying these for streets in the future!

Great budget summer tire, and unexpected victor.
Done over 15k miles on the tire. Tail of the Dragon for fun, many miles of touge in different conditions, cross country road trips and it's held up quite well. Still good tread life left, over half and they perform better than expected in the wet. Tested them in colder rain environments too and they've held up. Would recommend if your short on cash but biggest con is they are so so loud. My RE71RS, ECF, ECS02 are all quieter than the muchomachos - that's kinda crazy...

Skeptical and now Delighted
I was skeptical at first to try these new tires, however they have been great. I saved considerably over getting another set of Yoko's. Very good grip and decent steering wheel feed back. I am just commuting with my vehicle nothing serious, but these tire were a delightful purchase and would recommend them for summertime daily driving.

For the past year they've been great.
No issues in the dry or wet. I don't drive fast in the wet so I can't give big impressions on that. But dry weather driving is great, lose road noise.

good tires except horrible in the snow
i put these on my 2017 hyundai tucson, 245 45 19. awd. these tires were pretty good in the summer but in the winter they were the worst tires i have ever had. i have an awd tucson and was sliding all over the place, i could barely make it up slight hills. i was also in an accident because it wouldn't stop going down a slight hill. no other cars were having problems, just me. i have never had this problem with any other tire. if your going to drive in snow forget about these tires, not worth it.
