12K useful life on a F150
Had Cooper Discover H/T Plus installed on a 2013 F150, supposedly with 60K warranty. I got 12K miles before all the wear bars shown through.

These tires offer great, safe traction in dry and wet conditions on my 2011 f150. Very quiet and smooth ride. Live in Houston area so I can't speak on snow traction and have only had them for couple months so as far as wear, I have to trust Coopers rating. My next set of tires will be the same. Love these tires

I have been happy with my tires so far. I bought the truck with mud tires and switched to these because I do mostly highway driving. The ride quality improved exponentially and the road noise is minimal. I have not used the Tires in the winter so I can't speak on the snow capabilities. I plan on running a separate wheel tire combo in the winter. A great tire at a fair price.

I found that they are an excellent value..I'm a moderate driver, not someone that beats their equipment/ vehicles... though I do tow older classic cars often ( my tires are rated xl - plus for heavier loads) and found these to be stable and track well pulling some serious weight ('62 cadillac, etc.)...
Tread wear was a pleasant surprise as well.
Overall I'd recommend these 'plus' load tires. They've been good for my needs.
Designed for use on light trucks and SUVs, the Discoverer H/T Plus is an all season highway tire that offers drivers all weather performance and handling.
Features & Benefits
All-season tread
Black sidewall
All-weather tread
Drivers of light trucks and SUVs who either have a long commute on the highway or need to haul materials to a job site often long for a tire that's built to last. Fortunately, Cooper Tires built the Discoverer H/T Plus with these drivers in mind, as its alternating tread block geometry strengthens handling and stability. Four grooves within the tread remove water and slush to improve traction on wet roads, and the Discoverer H/T Plus features lateral siping and grooves that further boost traction on wet roads in addition to fighting irregular wear. Offering drivers a sporty look, the Discoverer H/T Plus is commonly used on larger vehicles such as the Dodge Dakota, Ford F-150 Harley Davidson Edition, and other half-ton pickups.
Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus tires could be made at one of Cooper's US-based facilities in Tupelo, MS, Texarkana, AR, or Findlay, OH. That being said, some Discoverer H/T Plus tires could also be produced in China, Mexico, England, and other parts of the world.
Yes, Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus tires are a good choice for use on light trucks and SUVs. The tire is designed for year-round performance and it facilitates easy water evacuation through the grooves for improved wet grip. The unique tread design reduces the chances of irregular tread wear for increased tread life and offers confident handling. The variable pitch sequence fo the Discoverer H/T Plus helps in controlling the tread noise levels.
Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus tires are typically made by Cooper Tire and Rubber Company, based in Findlay, Ohio. Cooper is a fully-owned subsidiary of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.
No, Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus tires are not noisy. The optimized pitch sequence of these tires reduces the noise frequency and assures quieter and pleasing rides.
Yes, the build quality of the Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus tires is very durable. The tread of these tires are optimized for longevity and the overall construction of these tires is very strong. The tires also come with rim protectors that lowers the risk of curb damage or scuffing.
Yes, Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus tires can be used in light winter weather conditions as they get two wide circumferential grooves and two sword-like central tread grooves for better traction in wet and winter weather conditions. The sipes of the tread blocks of these tires also provides additional grip and traction while driving in light snow conditions. However, these tires are not engineered for use in moderate and severe winter weather conditions as they aren't Three Peak Mountain Snowflake certified.
Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus tires are designed for use on light trucks and SUVs.
Yes, Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus tires offer reliable year-round performance and their ride quality is admirable. The tread pattern of the Discoverer H/T Plus tires is optimized to perform in dry, wet, muddy, and light winter weather conditions. The tread pattern of these tires is optimized for reduced noise levels and on longevity front too, these tires are reliable.
