The Carlstar Turf Master tires receive predominantly positive reviews for their performance on lawn mowers and garden tractors.
The Carlstar Turf Master tires are highly regarded for their primary purpose of lawn and turf care. They excel in providing smooth operation, good traction on slopes, and longevity for both residential and commercial use. However, they are not suitable for off-turf applications such as snow, mud, or dirt work. Users appreciate their quality and performance for their intended use on mowers and garden tractors.
Positive highlights
Smooth handling and lawn-friendly design. Excellent traction on hills and slopes, even up to 50% grade. Good durability and longevity, especially for commercial use. Superior quality compared to cheaper alternatives. Effective for turf-saving applications.
Negative highlights
Poor performance in snow, ice, mud, and wet conditions. Struggles with ground-engaging tasks and pushing dirt.

OEM quality for JD mowers
They're Carlisles. Miles ahead of the off-brand tires. Worth the price premium for longevity.

I run a commercial Lawn and Landscape business putting 700 hours a year on our main machines which have Turf Masters on them and they are still running strong. I absolutely love these times. I see other reviews about how they are not good in the snow or for pushing dirt, etc. Right in the name is what these tires are designed for (Turf). They are a turf tire. You want to push dirt or snow with a garden tractor get some AG tires or something designed for that application (Lawn & Garden Tire). These tires and our Ferris Z3x stick to hills like no other.

Terrible with snow, even like 1-2 inches of normal snow. It really hits the fan when the snow is wet or icy, same with mud. Terrible traction on dirt when you are doing ground engaging tasks, even struggles just pushing small piles to dirt. Wet grass? just give up. Great for turf saving and overall traction is good when you are just driving around.

I haven't had the tires long enough to rate them with anything other than dry handling. They're mower tires so, for whatever it's worth.
I researched mower tires before purchase and it was important to me to buy tires MADE IN THE USA. The old Carlisle On my mower were made in USA, and I thought these were too. When they arrived they have made in China on the sidewall. For what it's worth, I notified Carlisle of this and they report that this size, only this size tire is made in China.

I got these for my trail master 300 and so far they are perfect. The nobby tires it came with were not ideal for fields and easy trails. These are great (and they let me drift when it's wet). Big fan.
