This is not for the tire but more for the vender. Bought a pair in Sep 2023 and both are with date code 2719. Yeah they are over 4 years old and both have oil stains on them. The rubber feels way to hard for summer tires which suggests they were not kept in a proper environment either. Buy with caution!

I bought a pair of 29530r19 in September 2023. And received a matching pair with date code 2719. They are more than four years old! Which actually would not be a problem if these tires were properly stored. However, they don't seem to be. Both tires have oil on them (oil are known to degrade rubber) and the rubber is harder than any summer tire is ever supposed to be (which suggests the tire was probably kept in unairconditioned environment). I wouldn't care as much if it's all season tire for a commuter but I bought a Tread wear 240 tires for the performance and at this condition I really don't know if I feel comfortable running them.
