The Achilles ATR Sport tires generally receive positive reviews for their performance, value, and appearance. These tires are praised for their handling in dry conditions and are popular among sports car and performance vehicle owners.
The Achilles ATR Sport tires are generally well-regarded as a budget-friendly option for performance-oriented drivers. They excel in dry conditions and offer good value for money. However, they are not suitable for winter use and may not be the best choice for areas with frequent wet weather. Tread life seems to vary depending on driving style and vehicle type.
Positive highlights
Excellent dry traction and cornering ability. Good value for the price. Attractive tread design. Smooth and quiet ride. Decent wet weather performance. Long tread life for many users. Popular choice for daily driving and some track use.
Negative highlights
Poor performance in snow and winter conditions. Some users report quick wear, especially on front tires. Mixed reviews on wet traction, with some finding it inadequate.

I bought these for the tread design for driving on wet puddled roads in Florida. I actually have 245/45-17s on my car. They do a great job of clearing water from the patch. I run higher pressure (48f 42r) I've had them for about 15K miles and they still look brand new.

I'm a real big fan of Achilles, I have ran multiple sets from them on different vehicles. Mostly recently being on my commuter Mazda 6 wagon with the atr sport. I drive the car at a minimum 300 miles a week. The tires are great especially for the price. They corner well, and have great wet traction. I have around 3k miles on them so I can't speak for the wear but other versions of Achilles I have had wear just fine. Road noise is surprisingly minimal even with the fairly larger tread. Keep them rotated, right toe and just enough camber to enjoy it and I think they will suit anyone looking for just a little bit better tire for their car.
The ATR Sport is the flagship of the Achilles passenger tire line, and is designed for use on sports and performance-oriented coupes and sedans in warmer weather conditions. Backed by a 35,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty, the ATR Sport features a fuel-efficient, long-wearing silica-enriched tread compound, stylish low profile, solid center rib that enhances straight-line road manners, directional tread pattern, and 3D surface block technology that helps keep road noise low.
